1.4539 is a Chromium stainless steel with ferritic structure resistant to basic corrosive environments and to some chemicals in low concentrations. AISI 430 is resistant to water, steam, alcohols, calcium chloride, nitrates, nitric acid, fats, food products, acetone, benzene, esters, ethers, glycol, glycerine, acids present in food products, adhesives, urea, substances present in the production of fuels and derivatives.

Suitable For
1.4016 belongs to the group of economical stainless steels, is not suitable for welding, has lower plasticity and low strength properties. It is used in the oil industry for tanks, fittings, food, textile, automotive, food and household equipment industries.
